My ex wife has for the last two months requested the child matiance money be deducted from my wages each week. My wage fluctuates each week. She is on a good salary, she's a head teacher on £70plus a year. I asked for this to be looked into again with CSA and also my ex wife's income be concerned too. I was told no her income we don't look at its just yours. Who else feels this is wrong. I worked 50 hours last week and after the normal deductions I'm left with £300 this week. I haven't got enough to cover my weekly bills . I cannot see my children for a month cause she has decided they need to spend time with there nan rather than them spending time with me . I just don't know which way to turn .
Hi,
Unfortunately CMS only take the paying parents gross income into account. They should only be deducting direct from your wages if you have missed payments or refuse to pay.
If your having problems seeing kids, then may want to try mediation. As last resort you could take it to court.
Do you pay into a pension and are CMS aware of this?
CMS take certain expenses into account,
One is if you support other children. More on expenses:
