Hi,
I'm stuck between work and seeing my son. My job is in security im full time and move around certain stores due to my role being plain clothed, we get our rota's every friday for the week coming up, I have managed to get every wednesday off so i can have my son over night tuesday the other day off if i get one is random, at first and through the CSA we had an agreement i have my son over night once a week an pay x amount, now the ex has joined a full time uni course and wants me to have him more so I agreed i would try have him monday night through to wednesday night but im struggling cause i finish work at 5:30 and have to be at his nursery for him for 6 so don't think I can make it there on time thru traffic etc but the ex says thats my problem thats what you agreed tell work you have to leave early.
But thats were im stuck work are flexible but cause of nature of business if i keep telling them i need to leave early i will just get sacked and they will replace me with somebody capable.

If i don't work i get no money, the ex claims all the benefits and csa etc.

Does anybody no what i can say to work or a place i can go?

Hi there

Have you tried talking to the nursery? What would be your estimated ETA at the nursery? I would talk to them and see if there are any solutions they can come up with.

You could speak to your employer, explain your predicament and offer to work through your break so that you can leave early...it's worth a try.
