Hi
I have recently changed jobs and when i informed the CSA they told me that my case would only be handled by them until June and it would then go to CMS. They explained the payment options of direct pay and collect and pay. I told them i would be willing to direct pay but I'm not sure my ex would be, to which they said they would drop the case as it was her not willing to use direct pay. I cannot afford to pay 20% so was wondering if they will enforce this if she is unwilling to use direct pay?
(I'm not after dodging payment i just think it is unfair to pay 20% if I'm willing to use direct pay)
CMS don't enforce the 20% unless you have a history of arrears, and since that isn't the case, then you don't need to worry about that. Keep in touch with CSA to make sure they know you are willing to pay.
