[Solved] Planning my son's 16th birthday

Hey guys,

my boy is turning 16 next year and I promised to let him have a real big party. I've read about diffent kinds of sweet sixteen parties and decided to make music the main theme - having some bands comin and letting him have is own concert with a real stage and everything. I am now thinking about the location. We have different options - there are different rooms I can rent, but they all have problems with load music and its also not fitting to the atmosphere... then I thought about renting a gym, but doesn't that have to much prom-feeling? Then I thought about having it outside - like a festival - and for that I'd have to rent a tent. So there are just loads of different options and providers for that - you can actually make it real fancy (e.g. this ones) or just having a roof over the stage....
What do yo guys think? Does anyone have experience with having such a big party outside? What did you choose?

Thanks already!

Best,
John

No real experience in big outside functions had our reception outside we also had fish and chips van and ice cream van that went down

really well, - think being outside even with tents etc it's always a risk with the weather,

I a sure your son will be very grateful and it's lovely your able to celebrate his special birthday like that

Might be worth asking the people who are doing the music - they may have experience of this.
