Thanks, I haven't heard that one.
One thing I find is I can get so busy with complicated and 'important' things (eg on the laptop) that I sometimes struggle to slow down, set it aside, and just give our little one a long block of dedicated time.
Right now I have a few things 'to do' which help me to 'snap out of it' and do some quality playing:

  • blow some bubbles
  • read a couple of books together
  • do a 2 piece jigsaw with him

That's a great saying - It's so easy to get caught up in everyday stuff, that spending quality time with the kids gets put on the back burner.
