[Solved] telling kids off

hi, can any one please help. I'm having real trouble telling my 8 year old daughter off and to do as she is told. its obviously very hard as i dont see her all the time, but if things carry on the way they are i dread to think where i will be in a few years time

You have my sympathy, it's always difficult to implement discipline when your time with them is so precious.

It might help to introduce a reward chart for when she is a good girl. Make the chart together and award her stars for when she's a good girl or is helpful, which she can stick on the chart on the days she is with you. Have a target that when reached means she gets a treat, it doesn't have to be expensive, it could be a tea party in the garden or a trip to the swimming baths or park. It doesn't punish bad behaviour but rewards and encourages good behaviour... Good luck

hi, thanks for your advice, i didn't really want to the reward chart thing, but i think i might have too go down that route.
