Hi there,
I am looking for users of Dad.info who might be interested in taking part in my research about fathers' own stories and experiences of being fathers and online and offline support.
I am a Ph.D student at the Institute of Education in London. I am also a parent to young children myself and have worked for several years in parent and family support services. I have previously carried out research into parenting courses for fathers in children centres.
Rather than just collecting survey data as a lot of research does these days I want to listen to your own stories and experiences of being parents. By giving a voice to parents and listening to what being a parent means to you in your everyday life I hope that my work will help websites for parents and policy makers / support services learn more about what kind of support parents themselves find most helpful.
If this sounds of interest to you at all please get in contact so I can send you some more information about the project. You can email me at J.winter@ioe.ac.uk or send me a message on here, or of course just post on this thread if you like.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks for reading!
