[Solved] I feel I'm being forced to resort to violence

The anger I am feeling right now is immense! My son is being emotionally abused by his mother and grandparents. And I am left totally powerless. Even the family courts are useless! even though it is recognised that my son is being negatively influenced towards me, numerous judges have said that they can't force my ex to like me nor force her to promote contact. It as been fresh application after fresh application, but to no avail. I have recently sought legal advice about me submitting yet another fresh application just to be told that it will most probably be unsuccessful. which may lead a judge to block further applications in the future. To top things off the so called grandfather of my son has caused most of the anger I am currently feeling, because he never liked me from the start when me and my ex was together. I feel he is the main instigator in regards to the emotional harm towards my son all to get back at me. He is the biggest p***k that ever walked the earth I despise him.The way i currently feel if i fail in may be my last court appearance the father of my ex will be first on my hit list I am afraid I won't be able to control the anger towards him. He is nothing but a control freak. This pressure I am feeling right now and anger is huge. To say I am stuck would be an understatement, I fear where my life is leading to from here.

Hi Jasey

This is probably going to be pretty obvious, but you really need to make sure that you don't do anything rash - if you do, it will just given them so much more ammunition against you (with evidence), plus they'll get restraining orders, and all sorts of other consequences.

Realistically, you know all of this anyway.

It might be worth going to get anger management - of course, you have every right to be angry, but it's how you express that anger, and whether you can manage the situation leading up to those feelings that you might need help with.

Hi Jasey,

I totally get were you are coming from. I still get it from my ex despite having left him 5 yrs ago then divorce. He refuses to acknowledge I exist, instead bad mouthing me in front of our children. He has lied to his new partner about me, hence getting her on the bandwagon. He ignored my Mothers day, took our children out to buy his partner presents, balloons, and flowers. He made them sign a card, then filmed her respinse to all the cards and presents. My daughter asked and begged him to let her use her pocket to buy me something for Mothers day and my birthday, she got told 'no'! I always take them out to get him fathers day, birthday and christmas presents, I get ignored. Our children stated that the presents they bought him for fathers day were nowhere to be seen!!!!! If they talk about me or their grandparents he shows complete disinterest. phonecalls when they are with him are terrible, noisy and very short! He has refused mediation and has now told me not to contact him at all unless it is an emergancy!!!!! Document everything and keep your chin up. Karma has a way of dealing with these kind of people xx

Dont do what I did and issue the beating, I ended up doing 4 months before getting let out of prison and I was close to getting longer. It took me ages to get back on track with my son after being away. It wont help you or further your situation.

Good Luck!
