I have a child arrangement order that we are waiting on courts approval. In the order it says I can have my son alternate weekends from 4pm Friday to 4pm sunday, then the other weekend 2 midweek nights.
My assumption was that this would include Sundays as in our case the weekend was defined as Friday to Sunday.
My ex is stating I must only have him on a Monday - Thursday which reduces my ability to have him 2 nights alternating weeks as I work away often.
I've looked online yet cannot find a definition anywhere to help get clarity for me or share with my ex. Can anyone help?
hi,
with mid-week overnights, these generally fall between Monday-Thursday. e.g. I have my kids mon-tue overnight.
if its become an issue and ex is being difficult, you can skip the mid week overnights because of work. alternatives you could possibly get are fri-mon every others weekend, or perhaps longer like thu-sun or fri-tue overnight? if ex not agreeable at all, then seems like you would have to go back to court in future to change arrangements. would not be good idea to go back so soon if final order made recently.
