I have been informed by cafcass that my ex and I have to attend a separated parents information program. I have chosen my date and booked it in but thought I would ask what to expect. Is it as simple as them giving us parenting tips and advice or do they discuss your case specifically? I just want to know if I am going to have to deal with the drama my ex has raised in the past or not.

Hi,

I sat one of those before. It's like a focus group. you sit together with other parents, and your given topics to discuss, like what effect can a relationship break-up/divorce have on kids. How to manage conflict. They will show you some videos/slides, example of good co-parenting and bad co-parenting. main focus is not to put kids in the middle of conflict between parents. Would suggest to be active and participate. I understand they send some feedback to Cafcass on how you did.
