Hey all, I was hoping someone may have some insight, I haven’t seen my daughter going on 2 years.

She turns 18 in March and I’m not sure if she’s still in education or not.

is there a way to find out? I don’t have contact with either her or her mother.

CMS don’t seem to have a clue and state that mother is still receiving child benefit, but the x is a pro at playing the system and working cash in hand.

do the child benefit department have any clue either.

hi,

unfortunately if your not in contact with child, then very difficult to know education status. If child benefit office have been told child still in education, then benefit continues. and CMS will expect you to continue paying. they will write to you if they get informed by child benefit office that child is no longer in full time education.
