Had the first hearing recently and feeling incredibly relived that somebody else feels the case needs to be looked into. but also incredibly anxious for S7, anyone have any experience/advise? (especially during the pandemic in how it works)

I would imagine it will be over the phone, I am not sure if they carry out video calls for these though? They will simply discuss any allegations raised by your ex and ask what it is you are looking for. It is best not to say anything negative about your ex, just remain child focused, try not to be too optimistic in terms of contact at this point, don't go straight for 50/50 suggest a suitable approach to this. Just stay calm and polite.

Are you seeing your kids at all at the moment?

Hi,

I recommend that you complete Cafcass parenting plan and mention it during interview. It's useful and will show that your child-focused:

S7 report is crucial for your case. I would suggest you ask for as much contact as possible. Also think about issues such as school holidays and travelling abroad. How old are your kids?

A parenting plan has already been agreed in mediation and signed, and contact has for now started again (for now) but I do hold concerns as I did when applying, should I still go through this Cafcass plan?

hi,

I think you could just mention to cafcass about the parenting plan you have already agreed to.
