Question about "full time" education

I've read a lot about children still being in full time education after they turn 16 and that this is for 12 hours or more.

Is this the amount of hours they are being taught their subjects? Or the amount of time that that the school expect them to be on the premises?

For example, if the child takes 2 subjects which are 3 hours each per week, but the school says that they expect them to be on site from 8:30-15:05.

Are they doing 6 hours of education or 5 full days?

Hi,

I would suggest you get in touch with college and ask how they would set out the courses in terms of hours per week of study.
