[Solved] Letter from a mediator

Hi, I just received a letter from a mediator company, they say they were approached by my ex who has requested I don’t get to have my daughter on Wednesday overnight, as already agreed in the court order, but it hasn’t come into effect yet. she says she will be ‘too tired on a school night’ my daughter is 4, She doesn’t struggle with fatigue, I pick her up at 15:15 and travel 40 mins to home. Normal bedtime is 7:30pm. Does this mean if I disagree we end up back in family court due to failed mediation??

The family court has already ordered this so overnight should go ahead. Why as a dad are u any less capable of putting your daughter to bed and taking her to school than she is.

If she isnt happy she can try and go back to court but there will be no change made and family courts will wonder why she has made an application to the courts

I have a 4 year old. Live 30 mins away, but often becomes an hour during school run. Your child should be fine as long as she is getting plenty of sleep.

I think if your ex goes back to court about this, will probably get dismissed. You could tell the mediator you and child are happy with current arrangements.
