Work with icfa to introduce paternal grandma to grandson so they can supervise dad and son time is complete They recommended a stepped approach starting with 2 hours. ( child is very shy). Maternal grandma who has a lives with order has declined this and says she needs to be there for the duration of time Paternal grandma is there.
It has already agreed in the previous court hearing that paternal grandma is a suitable person to take over supervision.
Maternal grandma is stating that the child has a right to decide who he wants to see and choose. Child is 7.
How likely is it that the judge will go against cafcass and icfa recommendations. Thankyou
Judges usually go with Cafcass recommendations. Courts are generally in favour of contact between child and father. Sounds as though grandmother is being difficult which won't go down well
hi,
7 year old child is too young for Cafcass/judges to take their wishes seriously. if Cafcass report is child focused and reasonable, then unlikely that judges will go against it.
