hi guys

I'm new here I contacted CMS on march 5th to tell them they was missing march payment, I sent them all the proof and they have put it on yet they are saying i still owe them for march which I know I don't, they have then put me on to pay them weekly yet I get paid monthly have rang them several times now to get them to change it to monthly via standing order and yet they still charge me for weekly my arrears keep going up which is not fair,

all they keep saying to me is that its with a case worker and they will be in touch to call me but they never do, I'm at my wits end now as i want to provide for my children but they just don't want to help and sort it out they just want to charge me more and more.

what do i do in this situation as I've never had this before and its causing me so much stress as the ex thinks I'm not paying for them.

hi, can you please check your online cms account and view the payment plan. as long as you stick with that 12 month plan, you should be fine. also, you will always be 1 month behind in arrears, thats how their system works. so you don't pay any figure listed under arrears, you only pay according to 12 months plan. I pay on 25th each month, standing order

@sm4rty27 hi, it should be 6 months then they downgrade the DEO. did you check your online CMS account? they may send you letters in there. if they keep rejecting you, then should contact your MP and ask them to raise complaint.

hello, i have had a look at the payment plan and it says 47weeks rather then 12 months i have already paid in march so do i pay again even though i have already paid or do i just wait for them to set up a new DEO to save me all this trouble, even tho i have paid them consistently and been in touch with them through my whole job change they have still messed it up yet i feel like i am the one that has to suffer for there mistakes,

im suffering at the moment with my own MH and this is not helping matters at all as i want to make sure i am paying correctly for my children, its like they don't care i have paid consistently  every time i try and change to direct pay they keep rejecting it and saying we will send you a letter for the reasons why yet said letter has not appeared

hi, if you already paid for March, don't pay again. if the wrongly put you on DEO/collect and pay, then you should contact your MP and ask them to raise complaint with CMS.

also recommend you join this support group for paying parents:

I get told my case keeps getting escalated to a case worker then closed with no comments. I'm not changing a thing and keep ringing them to sort out and every time they sort nothing. I'll be raising complaints after this last round for their ineptitude.

The service isn't fit for purpose imo. Too many good dad's being dealt with like we're criminals
