if SW recommendations state contact to begin ASAP then this is what the judge will order if your ex disagrees. judge may take turns asking both of you questions. if your self-representing, feel free to just raise your hand when you want to say something, especially if there is something you don't understand and needs clarifying.
in your position statement, write that you agree with SW that contact to start right away.
