Hello,
Im hoping to come to the end of a lengthy child arrangement court case (fingers crossed)

I know the CMS take the calculations from my p60. My question is this past year I’ve have worked a lot of overtime to pay for the solicitors fees (ex gets legal aid so not paying) so the amount on my P60 will be higher than usual. If I provide the solicitors Bills will they take that into account? Or will they charge me more next calculation date, despite all the money being used for the legal battle?

I would hope they take it into consideration as I’ve been fighting for my children because of the behaviour of the ex etc.

thanks

hi,

unfortunately CMS would not take legel expenses into account. if your earnings increase, including bonus, overtime/pay rise then you would be expected to pay more in maintenance.
