I have just had a rejection notification from CMS, I am supporting a child [A] from a previous relationship but also have a disabled child [B] living with me, I uploaded all necessary evidence regards the disabled child but the portal seems to say “Special Expenses [child A]”
this says to me that they have it on their system as child A is disabled and not child B? Please can someone advise how I go about challenging this as living with a disabled child I thought would be something they take into consideration!

yes they should take both children into account. been a while since I tried uploading documents in the CMS account. if that option is still there, you draft a brief word document, asking for both children to be taken into account and include evidence of disability, child benefit etc.
if your getting nowhere with them, then can take complaint route, email your MP and copy in:
