Hi
My daughter(7 years old) is abducted by my wife in India and kept in India hiding my daughter's passport from me.Does anybody have any experiences getting child back to UK from foriegn country through court?
Thanks very much in advance.
Kind Regards
Sudheer
Look into the ICACU website and apply under the Hague convention. That is how I got my ex to return with our son from the US back to the UK
I would strongly recommend getting on the phone with Reunite International. Not all countries apply the Hague convention "properly" and Reunite can tell you how it really is and advise you on the best course of action.
Best of luck.
Hi ,
Thanks for the reply but India is not in Hague convention. 🙁
@midori28 Thanks very much!!
Okay, Hague tends to be a bit of a last resort anyway and isn't always effective - nevertheless, Hague or not, Reunite should be able to advise you - this is what they do all day, every day so they are very knowledgeable.
