[Solved] Asking about your child progress

Hi,
My son is 16.
He is staying with his mum's relatives after his mum passed away.
I've been seeing him regularly & always attended school meetings. There are no court orders.

Am I entitled to ask relatives about my son's welfare & his progress with school work, etc...?

What's everyone experience ?
Thank you.

hi,

my kids are much younger. i just attend the schools parents evening/academic review dates. better to hear it from teachers first hand.

i think you can ask your childs relatives about his progress. depends if they are reasonable or not.

It's reasonable to ask - do so amicably. As a parent you can also ask the school.
