Hi,
My child is 16.
He is staying with his mum's relatives after his mum passed away.
I've been seeing him regularly & always attended school meetings etc.. There are no court orders as I always wanted to avoid that.
As far as I know I am his legal guardian unless relatives did something without telling me.
Can I ask relatives not take any decisions that might affect my son without informing me 1st ?
Thanks
hi,
you have parental responsibility over your child, so you have more rights over him than his relatives.
you can ask them not to make important decisions without telling you. but they can do what they want really, as theres no court orders that are placing restrictions on them.
did your son not show any interest in wanting to live with you?
