There is quite a lot of financial support available to families who are on low incomes, but it can be confusing to work out what you might be entitled to

 

Financial support is not just for parents who are out of work, there is also support for working parents, if your income is below a certain threshold.

What kind of financial support is available?

There is a huge list of possible support available. This includes:

  • Child Benefit
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Benefit
  • Universal Credit
  • NHS Fees Exemption
  • Free School Meals
  • Free School Uniform
