Hodder Children’s Books have kindly offered 5 copies of their new release, The Tree That Sang To Me by Serena Molloy for Dad Info readers to win.

The story, aimed at readers aged 9+, is written in verse and illustrated throughout. Author Serena is dyslexic, and ensures that her books are dyslexia-friendly. With 1 in 10 people in the UK being dyslexic, the consideration shown in the writing of this book will make it a firm favourite for kids with dyslexia.

The Tree That Sang To Me is the empowering story of Kai, whose sister has left the family home. He finds solace in the branches of a sycamore tree, a place where he feels free. When a girl called Sky starts climbing the tree, the blossoming friendship between them provides healing.

This is the second book by Molloy, the first being Wider Than The Sea.

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of The Tree That Sang To Me, email your name to dad.info@spurgeons.org, and put ‘April Competition’ in the title line. The closing date for entries is 16th April. Winners will be contacted by email.
