Three eye-popping 3D puzzles

From light-up landmarks to a carnival of colour, these 3D puzzles may take a bit of time to put together, but they’re certainly worth it…

Ravensburger 3D Empire State Building with Lights

The light-up landmark above is very much for older kids, but smaller hands will be able to put together these 3D Puzzleballs, only needing a little help from Dad. The 72 shaped plastic pieces are all numbered on the back, and fit together perfectly to form a spherical jigsaw of kids’ all-time favourite movie, Frozen, or those cute yellow chaps from Despicable Me. Once finished, the 13cm-wide globe can be proudly displayed in the plastic stand included in the puzzle, ready for your kids’ Frozen and Minion–mad friends to envy. Sweet.
Ravensburger Disney Frozen and Despicable Me 3D Puzzleball (ages 6+): £9.99 or get both for £15. Frozen: Argos.co.uk, Despicable Me: argos.co.uk

Fantastic Merry Go Round

Remember the carnivals that used to come to town when you were a nipper? Glamorous, colourful, slooow… They don’t make them like they used to (which is probably just as well with today’s health and safety laws), but your kids can still get a taste of the carnival’s old-time charm with the 3D Fantastic Merry Go Round. Although it’s simple enough for children aged eight and above to make on their tod, it’s something the whole family will enjoy putting together. And once it’s assembled, you can all sit back and admire the amazing details, from the horses on the merry go round to the children at play. A truly lovely bit of nostalgia.
3D Fantastic Merry Go Round (ages 8+): £15.99. alljigsawpuzzles.co.uk
